Asia has it owns a share of beautiful beaches, which are affordable than traveling to Hawaii. The Chinese government has decided to give visa-free access to a number of countries for visiting one of its most beautiful islands, Hainan, also known as Hawaii of China keeping the high demand of tropical beaches in mind. It means you won’t need to visit your nearest Chinese embassy and wait for your visa to visit Hainan. The Chinese visa program will start from May 2018 onward and will be applicable to 59 countries including Germany, the United States, Great Britain, France, and Russia. Qu Yunhai, deputy director, State Immigration Administration, said that policy embodies their approach and resolve one step forward to opening to the outside world. China introduced the policy after discussing reforms to remake Hainan as a free trade zone and a beacon of openness for China. The government will also be opening a horse racing course in Hainan along with several international sports ground and link them with international lotteries. Many luxury hotel chains have already opening hotels and resorts in Hainan, and some are in the process of building them. The Chinese government feels that Hainan has great potential especially since it is affordable than many other islands of the same standards in terms of beauty. Hainan attracts less than a million visitors every year, while Phuket in Thailand attracts more than seven million. Top destinations in China Even though Hainan’s progress is slow, with the right amount of funding, it will definitely see growth in the future. Before the visa program was announced, international visitors could visit the island for a short trip without requiring a visa. Even group travelers could visit without a visa. Apart from Hainan, China has a lot of attractive destinations including Forbidden City, Great Wall of China, Summer Palace, and Potala Palace.
