It takes a lot of time for Indians to travel to Israel since the visa rules are quite complicated but the Israel Ministry of Tourism confirmed that the government will be relaxing the rules soon. VFS Global will handle all visa procedures for Israel in India. The company also manages visas for all Schengen companies, the US, Australia, and Canada for Indians who want to travel there. The Israel Ministry of Tourism released a data last week that showed a tremendous increase in the number of Indian tourists traveling to the country in 2017. Benjamin Netanyahu, prime minister of Israel’s recent visit to India, encouraged the nationals to visit Israel and also assured that the visa regulations would be relaxed. 49,000 Indians visited Israel between January to October 2017, with another 11,000 visited in the last two months. The 60,000 mark crossed numbers received in all the previous years. Hassan Madah, director, Israel Ministry of Tourism India & Philippines, said that India is a strong member of the tourism industry that received 20 million tourists every year. He hopes that easier rules will encourage more Indians to travel to Israel as the ministry hopes to welcome at least 100,000 Indians this year. Arkia, Israeli national airlines and Air India, Indian national airlines have expressed interest in starting flights between the two countries.
