Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China and Belarus, Eastern Europe countries have signed an agreement to let their citizens travel without a visa into each other’s territory. Chinese citizens of Hong Kong and Belarusians can now enter the other country Visa-free Travel for up to 14 days. People of Hong Kong and Belarus welcomed the announcement. Experts strongly believe that this will foster stronger trade relations between the two Asian countries/ territories. The new visa-free arrangement will be valid from February 13th, 2018 onward. Until then, Belarusians will have to pay $30 as visa fees for entering the administrative region of Hong Kong. Along with the visa-free travel agreement, many other agreements signed. Some of them include the abolition of double taxation and preventing income, and capital tax evasion. The countries set the dividend and interest rate at five percent and royalty rate between three to five percent. The agreement was signed in Hong Kong when Vasily Matyushevsky, First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus. The deal was signed in between January 16th to 18th, 2018. Other attendees of the meeting were business people and investors from the Hong Kong area. He also visited the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Belarus will be starting a Belarus Calling Hong Kong, details of which will be disclosed later.
