Human Capital Priorities Stream of the Ontario Provincial Nominee Program recently issued 380 Invitation to Apply (ITA) to candidates belonging to the Express Entry stream. The Ontario Provincial Nominee Program calls Invitation to Apply for Notifications of Interests.
Any Express Entry candidate who qualifies for the Ontario Provincial Nominee Program and receives a Notification of Interest directly gets 600 points on the Comprehensive Ranking System. During the latest round of draws, the nominee program sent Notification of Interests to candidates scoring between 433 and 444. These were the candidates who applied for the Express Entry between January 1 to 25, 2018. Another draw was conducted on January 23, 2018, where candidates needed minimum 440 points to qualify sent 340 Notification of Interests.
To qualify for Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream, candidates first need to apply to the Express Entry system and should have a minimum score of 400 points on the Comprehensive Ranking System. In the latest Express Entry draw, around 2750 people were sent the Invitation to Apply, with the minimum score required was 444. Qualifying for the Express Entry system is going to be a lot easier now because the government aims at bringing over 200,000 skilled immigrants in 2018. The scores will go down a little further to send more invitations. It gives more chances of selection for candidates who dream for Canada.
Busy year ahead
David Cohen, attorney, and senior partner, Campbell, said that it was exciting to see that it was a busy week. More than 700 candidates who applied for the Express Entry system were sent Notification of Interests for applying to the Ontario Provincial Nominee Program. Cohen said that the past week was very crucial for Ontario and its Human Capital Priorities Stream. He expects it to be busy all year round and he excited to see how everything turns out.
