The Province of Ontario issued Invitations to Apply for Nomination for the status of Permanent Residence by a Province to Express Entry Candidates in the French Speaking Workers Immigration Stream. On the 7th of February, the French Speaking Worker Stream of Ontario issued 61 Invitations to Apply for Provincial Nomination for Permanent Residence. It is through this stream that the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program can search the Canadian Experience Class or the Federal Skilled Worker Class for eligible French Speaking Applicants who are also proficient in English, among other criteria. Canada's Skilled Worker and Trade Classes, and the Canadian Experience Class are all controlled by the Express Entry System; a system that allows the highest number of skilled labor to the country. Candidates are graded based on scores allocated to factors like language proficiency, age, education, and skilled work experience. During the regular invitation rounds, those who earn the highest points are given Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residence in Canada. When an applicant is nominated by a Province to be given Permanent Residence in Canada, he or she will also be given 600 more points in the comprehensive ranking score.
