202 candidates who have experience in 07 occupations have been invited by Saskatchewan to submit an application for a provincial nomination for Canadian PR.
Saskatchewan held its latest draw on Wednesday, May 1, through its Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry subcategories. Candidates with experience in Canada’s National Occupational Classification - NOC 6332 (Bakers), NOC 4151 (Psychologists), NOC 1226 (Conference and event planners), NOC 6331 (Butchers), NOC 0423 (Managers in community, social, and correctional services), and NOC 3216 (Medical sonographers) were targeted by the draw. These seven occupations were included in the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)’s In-demand Occupations List.
SINP’s Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry sub-categories demand that candidates should have work experience in an occupation on the list; however, a job offer is not a requirement.
Occupation list updated again
After the May 1 draw, SINP removed NOC 1226 from the occupation list - marking the third time the list has been updated over a period of five weeks.
A draw held on April 17 was the first time SINP would target candidates with work experience in specific occupations on the list. Four occupations were targeted in the draw and were removed from the list of occupations immediately after the draw.
Creation and submission of an Expression of Interest profile are required in order to enter the pool of candidates that will be considered for ITA (Invitation to Apply) for provincial nomination. The profiles received are then ranked, and the profiles with the highest scores are invited.
The lowest score in the May 1 draw was 67. Candidates who receive provincial nomination would get an extra 600 points and are guaranteed to get an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada
