Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has reached its peak for the year 2018 as it sent out 6,600 invitations to apply to applicants for nomination by the province for Canada immigration via the different streams. The province of Ontario is very populated, and its Immigrant Nominee Program has become the largest in Canada with the nomination of 6,600 people in 2018. Ontario intends to keep up with the processing of applications that are being accepted this year under its Immigrant Nominee Program for next year’s allocations. It has however held the processing of applications for the Masters Graduate Scheme. The immigration Nominee Program is one of the programs in Canada that gives Provinces and Territories (PT) the right to nominate applicants for Immigration to Canada every year. The nomination for this year was 600 slots more than that of last year. Based on the multi-year immigration plans of Canada, the total target for the country’s nomination in 2019 is 61,000. This means 6,000 admissions more than that of 2018, which is 55,000. The Express Entry Immigration Streams of Ontario have issued the highest nominations this year, with a total of 6,411 nominations. This system controls the stream of applicants in the three Federal Economic Immigration classes; the Federal Skilled Trade Class (FSTC), the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). The various Express Entry linked streams, including the Human Capital Priorities Stream, the Skilled Trades, and the French Speaking Skilled Worker Streams are open to the Immigrant Nominee Program of Ontario to browse for eligible applicants who are compatible with the Provinces’ labor market under their Express Entry pools. Nominated candidates in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee program instantly earn 600 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System score which will boost their chances of being nominated for Permanent Residence in Canada.
