The latest migration program year started from 1 July 2019, and one of the most sought after state in Australia for the purpose of migration, New South Wales has launched new reforms to their skilled nominated (subclass 190) visa program for 2019-2020.
Subclass 190 visa is a PR visa for which one must be chosenby an Australian territory OR state government agency.
For New South Wales, candidates for specific occupations will now have to fulfill further requirements like residing and being employed in NSW. NSW has also launched a system to show the occupations availability, which will be regularly updated to show changes.
Nomination Demand by NSW is exceptionally high. The Government of NSW will continue to choose and invite top-ranking applicants who satisfy the NSW nomination requirements in professions on the NSW subclass 190 Priority Skilled Profession List, the state government official website said.
Some professions on the NSW subclass 190 Priority Profession List are now subject to a further requirement for NSW nomination. The further requirement for these professions is to be residing in NSW and to have been employed in NSW for a minimum of one year, in the nominated profession.
The new NSW subclass 190 Priority Skilled Profession List is good news for cooks, chefs, and motor mechanics, experts say.
These professions have high availability and no further requirement of having resided and worked in NSW. Experts say the state government’s resolution to start the availability of profession is significant too.
It gives a clear idea that a candidate will need more points to obtain an invitation for those professions which have low and restricted availability experts say.
